FAMILY SUPPORT WORKER
St. Catherine?s CSC is a registered charity providing a range of
social, community and health services in Carlow that respond to the
needs of communities, families and individuals. We now wish to recruit
a full-time Family Support Worker on a 2 year fixed term contract. The
overall purpose of the role is to engage and work with children and
families from diverse backgrounds and cultures and offer appropriate
supports, programmes and activities to meet their needs.
CONTRACT DURATION: Full-time 2 year fixed term position
LOCATION: St Catherine?s Community Services Centre, Carlow
HOURS OF WORK: **Apply on the website** hours per week
REPORTS TO: Director of Services
ANNUAL LEAVE: **Apply on the website** days
SALARY: Commensurate with experience
ROLE CRITERIA
The successful candidate will possess:
* A recognised third-level degree in Applied Social Studies/Social
Care, Psychology, Social Work or another relevant qualification
* A minimum of 3 years paid experience working with children and
families in a community based setting
* Experience in outreaching to and engaging with hard to reach
families
* Experience in delivering evidence based/informed family support
programmes
* Excellent communication and facilitation skills
* Experience in working with and supporting families from diverse
backgrounds and cultures
